The large lobby is laid out with marble and features a small seating area in front of an open fire with a lounge decorated in pastel colours and comfortable sofas.
The restaurant is on the ground floor, leading on from the lobby is a traditional lounge where afternoon tea is served, leading on from the lounge is the bar, and to the left is the very traditional restaurant.
The restaurant has the atmosphere of a gentlemen's club being furnished with heavy furniture. Due to its location near to Parliament, it is frequented by many ministers.
It is a traditional and impressive sandstone building.
Due to the traditional building the rooms vary in size and layout, however, on average they are medium sized. All the rooms are furnished very elegantly in a traditional style, offering modern facilities and some rooms have magnificent views across the Thames. The rooms and bathrooms are in excellent condition.
Located in a quiet area of Whitehall overlooking the Thames, a short walk from the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery. This is a very grand hotel rich in history.
